The reason everyone would have moved on already is because, by now, an identical crime would have already occurred somewhere else, all part of the tide of violence perpetrated by those who continue to turn a blind eye to mental illness and access to weapons of mass-casualty (because, make no mistake, it is not solely those who pulled a trigger who are responsible for those deaths). If america is going to move on, then someone would need to do this again and again, in a neverending cascade of Nazis being shot with ruthless efficiency, just like what happens to our children. Then, surely, the country will just move on to the next tragedy with thoughts and prayers, like they do with school shootings, right?
The catholic church uses thousands of pages of additional made-up stuff that other sects don’t believe in, from ex-cathedra edicts to the canonisation of saints, and the other Christian faiths don’t hold those as “inspired by god”. If that’s the primary difference, then the LDS faith is at the same level as Catholicism, not Islam.
