I’d at least start them with something simple like Paint or Notepad. Once they have that down, then you can throw the disaster that is the MS Office file save dialog at them.

It’s like steering a large ship. Any input to the controls take some time before they actually have any effect. So if you’re suddenly dropped at the helm, you’re pretty much at the mercy of whatever the last guy was doing for the immediate future. But that doesn’t mean you can’t attempt to get the ship back on course either, as whatever you do at some point will have an effect.

On another note, hard to blame Obama for 2008 in any case given he didn’t become president until 2009.

The “will of the people” was Joe Biden, who won the Democratic primary quite handily. However, the Joe Biden people thought they were voting for wasn’t the Joe Biden we actually had, as there was a very deliberate effort to hide his declining health by the party leadership. Hence the whole reason they had to change candidates, once it became too obvious that Biden wasn’t fit to serve another term as president.

So while the Democratic party still followed their processes and guidelines by ultimately putting forth Kamala Harris as their candidate, it’s not like they had to do it because Biden withdrew due to some freak accident or something like that. You can’t really sanction what they did when the whole thing is rooted in the party leadership deliberately deceiving people.

If Trump wanted to deport Musk, he’d just do it. It’s not like the courts have ever stopped Trump from doing whatever he wants.

In the US, CAFE which regulates this sort of thing has different rules for light trucks versus cars. That’s why nearly everything sold today is a “light truck” - not just pickups but SUVs, CUVs, and vans which make up the majority of new vehicles sold. These rules also had a lot to do with large cars like station wagons going away.

It’s also just weird.

Other than hoarding up the houses, everything is pretty general Monopoly strategy I figured out a long time ago. Basically try to get a monopoly ASAP and then develop it ASAP. I’ve found that strategy to be good, but it depends a lot on luck. Sometimes despite everything you try, the only monopoly you can get are those horrid green properties and you’re pretty much doomed.

I don’t really see it as a conspiracy. What seems to happen is Apple does something like remove the headphone jack. Apple users essentially have to accept it as they are locked in and don’t have any choice in the matter. Plus you have the fanboys that have an amazing ability to rationalize anything Apple does. Everyone else sees that Apple got away with something, and they follow suit.

Losing the SD slot would still be annoying but not as big of a deal with everyone wasn’t also copying Apple’s model of massively overcharging for storage upgrades.
