I really really doubt The Atlantic is responsible in the slightest way of what the USA has become in the last few years.

Exactly. There’s no way large scale change can happen in society as long as those who want that change are arguing about the details and are too busy trying no to offend their allies.
Leaders have known for centuries that sowing division is the best way to keep power to themselves.

Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s–t and has been proven to be a fraud. He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain,” Cheung told the Daily Beast
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the answer from the fucking White House communication director when he was asked to comment.

It’s a bit harsh to say this about someone who gives lectures about fascism (and is therefore kinda doing his part) and who might have received a few death threats by people who probably know where he lives.
So tell me, what did you do last week to fight fascism?

must suck for you, since the people youve hurt obviously won’t forgive you
Don’t take this as an insult (because it’s not meant as one), but accusing someone you don’t know like that kinda discredits anything you’re trying to say, whether you’re right or not.
Great. Now why don’t you try to unite on some serious shit, like wealth inequality.

Republicans are not conservatives anymore, they embraced fascism, and fascists don’t care about rules. They only care about power, the kind that allows them to bully everyone into submission.
Yeah but he’s one of the few Democrats actually doing something against Trump and co.

Exactly. When people lose faith in democracy, leaders have free rein.
European countries might find ways to be less dependent on the US, economically and politically. The fall of the US will have repercussions, but the rest of the world is already preparing for it. I don’t think Europe will suffer that much… China will be all to happy to replace the US as a commercial partner.

A majority of people voted for Trump, and the elections were not rigged. Maybe you’re not among them, but the fact that you live in the same country as them means that you share the responsibility.
If you don’t want to share it, organize and fight back. There’s still time left before the US becomes a police state comparable to Russia or China.

Alligator Auschwitz won’t populate itself

in order to carry out Trump’s immigration policies
Among a few other things.

I don’t know exactly how this works, but I think you’ll be held in contempt when you get a subpoena and decide not to show up.

Huh. I just saw that you need to be 30 to run for Senate in the US…
Please ignore my first comment :)

You’d have a hard time to demonstrate this is not discrimination against old people.

This is actually a good argument, but the problem is that the other side don’t give a dick about rationality, the rule of law or anything that looks like a coherent political opinion. Democrats are still trying to win using rules that were thrown out the window by the GOP in January.

“Championing the status quo” is not how I would describe what Republicans are doing right now.
Wasn’t corporatism a core principle in Mussolini’s brand of fascism?
