Yeah my knowledge of strokes is quite limited. I only figured out there were different types, i.e. blood vessels in brain bursting vs blockage in heart stopping blood to brain. There are probably more.

Also not sure about using the picture of the manic looking liberal lady as a template for this. She probably hates Trump as much - if not more - than you. Plus she’s had alt-right people posting these unflattering pictures of her online for years.

I’m mainly basing my opinion on my experiences living in the UK where everyone complains about “right-wing tabloids” but these newspapers enjoy huge sales figures.

From an outsider’s perspective it seems like the Democrats behave like that because the US electorate is genuinely right-wing and need pandered to.

As an outsider it seemed more like they had an image problem than an issue with their concrete policies. Obviously it could be both but I got a sense people believed the dems were out of touch.

I’m also from the UK but from what I could tell at least Pete has some personality. Kamala ran as the establishment manifested in human form, clumsily avoiding questions or policy details in media appearances. She was polling at 4% of popularity amongst democrat voters during the 2020 primaries. I think those factors were more influential than her being a woman,

I think Pete Butigeg would have been a stronger candidate.

Ironically if she’d chosen Shapiro as a running mate then she’d have had a better chance of holding PA. However reports at the time suggested she didn’t want to risk upsetting the left by choosing a Jewish running mate.

I agree with this. Communist like systems where there is central control of resources encourages corruption as people vie to get closer to the central control of the resources. Capitalism is just more honest about the fact that many people - not all of them - are fundamentally self-interested and entices them into cooperation with others by offering the carrot of individual rewards. Those are probably the same people that would try to exploit the system if it were more centrally controlled.

I remember looking at charity jobs when I was graduating with my humanities degree before I got into tech. Revealingly, the alumi I was speaking to who worked in the sector said something like, “At it’s core you need to remember that working for a charity is essentially a sales job.”
