Who “really can’t work” in your opinion?

I don’t work. Every few months I’ll really put in the effort and throw the applications in but nobody wants to hire me at this point. I’ll get demotivated and accept my couch surfing lifestyle again. The times I have had a job, they’ve not lasted long either.

You ask my friends if I’m disabled and you’ll get mixed answers. I personally don’t see myself as such, but I am very defiant and not particularly skilled.

Many people would say I’ve “chosen” to be unemployed (I don’t see it that way, but many people do)

Do I deserve to have my needs met? Healthcare, food, water, shelter?

Lemmy “MLs” will correctly criticize libs for lesser evil voting then turn around and tell you to support lesser evil imperialism.

Let’s be honest, the average american isn’t saying rich people. They are saying “them” or “the deep state” or some other dogwhistle relating to jews. Or they’ll just find a term that abstracts the problem away from rich people.

We have a few Chinese folks in the revolupedia discord so they definitely exist. We’re pretty aggressively against modern China.

From what I’ve seen on Chinese social media, you have two kinda minds. The folks who want a return to maoism, and the folks that are more liberal minded. That’s extremely reductive but that seems to be a sentiment repeated frequently by Chinese people so it’s likely got some truth to it.

I don’t uphold China, but I do think ~95% of what people have said in defense of China on this post is true. There’s lot of propaganda that paints China as monstrously worse than it is.

Oh, the US for sure is involved. I don’t remember the exact year but they literally backed a leader that was pro US like 12 years ago. That directly affected trade with Russia.

And this area of land we are talking about is pretty much Ukraines economy. The majority of manufacturing happens there. Convenient that Russia has loyalists there.

But let’s not get into the weeds, my position is still what it is and it’s been in my bio for a while now:

In recent years its become really trendy to just not use swap on linux and it pisses me off to no end. Its a horrible configuration all to save like 1% of your diskspace.

edit: Also, most distros out of the box do use significantly less than windows. My debian testing xfce install that I just did here a few days ago uses 700mb on a cold boot.

You also have to prove you make 2x rent, sometimes 3x rent in order to actually qualify for an apartment (alot of us create fake paystubs for this) :)

We also will have a deposit that is usually 2-3x rent that we are supposed to get back when we move out. However every time this happens the landlords conveniently find damage to the property that didn’t exist the day you moved out so you don’t ever get that money back (or if you do, you only get 25-50% of it). :)

At the place I just moved out of, there was a roach infestation that the landlords refused to hire a pro to take care of that got entirely out of hand. They are holding my deposit for this. :)

You also aren’t allowed to have anyone stay over longer than 3 days if they aren’t on the lease without prior approval from the landlord. :)

Edit: Sometimes people have to get renters insurance too. :)
