Yeah, if anything, comparing this conservative line of thinking to previously established DEI policies grants it way more validity than it deserves. It’s hard to find the best ways to point out but not normalize their blatant hypocrisy.

I guess I’m glad somebody on the left is finally reciprocating the populist style memeing necessary to contend with trump and current far right politics. “Fighting fire with fire” would feel a lot better though if our flamethrower supported trans rights, among other things.

Trump won twice not just by being a memelord but by leaning fully into the populism necessary for his base. You can’t achieve a ‘left’ version of that by just meeting him at the meme level. The contending policies have to be so popular that they’re obvious.
