  • There’s no easy fix for this

You can start by being honest and transparent.

This is only a misinformation problem because there is a trust problem.

There is only a trust problem because of a long history of repeatedly breaking that trust.

The absolutely last thing you want is for regulation to limit speech of the influencers. You want to give them no reason to think there is foul play. You have to fight it with the truth.

Remove corporations’ and political parties’ right to privacy. Privacy is for humans. Everything else goes on a public ledger.

Make all scientific publications public and free forever. Science should not be paywalled.

Always mark (not remove) misinformation and enforce a notification system on all platforms to users who saw content that later turned out to be misinformation. Always provide evidence for why it was misinformation. Make reading the misinformation notifications mandatory to keep your social media account.

What criticism? Your post literally is “haha, look at sad white people after they get what’s coming to them”

And your entire joke only works if “all of white people” was one single entity, but they’re not. A white person is not responsible for other white people.

And why should that one white person just shut up and take the punches for something they’re not responsible for?

But I will read CRT and get back to you one day. If it is based on science as you say, it should offer an explanation to why hate only is acceptable when it is directed at someone with a system advantage they didn’t ask for.

My definition is the number 1 definition on the dictionary you linked.

    And here’s how definitions work:

If you fall under only a single of the definitions, you are as defined. I.e. maybe you don’t have a systemic advantage over me, (neither do I over you, because I don’t live in the US and am a racial minority in the country I live in), you are still racist under the other just as valid definitions. They’re not outdated definitions, they’re official and still very much valid definitions that apply to you, a racist.

I am not helping the right one bit, you are radicalizing the right by spreading hate against people who had nothing to do with building the system, or had anything to do with slavery. Why would anyone listen to a raging lunatic calling them all sorts of slurs? They’ll think “the fuck is wrong this person?”

You are so blinded by hate, and so motivated to “get back at the oppressors” you would attack an entire race over it. Go outside.

You are so cherrypicking definitions, you think you’re cute.

a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race also : behavior or attitudes that reflect and foster this belief : racial discrimination or prejudice

Hey, that sounds just like you.

Nice racism, bro. The literal dictionary definition of racism includes against white people. Whether the target is a marginalized group is not relevant whatsoever.

You just wants to be racist but also think you are morally right to be so, and posts like yours only serve the right-wing. Kindly remove your bigot self from Lemmy.

Or, get this, every white person in this meme is a different person, and the last one is completely unrelated to the above ones.

The last white person has original sin because other white people were racist pieces of shits.

How about we stop fighting racism with racism, and instead try to unite against the elites?

  • As long as you can get a work visa with that job, you’re good to go. At the very least you probably can get a similar remote job by a japanese company and get the visa.

There will be a gift tax on the house, and land tax, but where you’re trying to go, the land tax will be very low, and the free house will be valued at 0 and therefore have 0 property tax. Houses don’t appreciate in value in Japan, so you’ll never have to pay property tax on that house even if you fix it up, and as long as you don’t tear it down, the land tax will also stay low.

  • If you’re fine with there also being few things to actually do, you can essentially throw a dart on the map and pick the closes village to where it lands, and chances are it’ll have a population of less than 1000 people, and if you’re OK being stuck there for 10 years you can join the house givaway program to get some old house. You’ll have to find a job and maybe do so maintenance on the house, but other than that, you’ll get a free house in the middle of nowhere.

  • Even cities near Tokyo are at most a few hours train-rides away from Paradise. In Chiba you have onjuku (A large beach with desert dunes), in kanagawa you have Enoshima. (Beach, and an island with caves and shrines). In gunma you have Kusatsu. (winter hotspring wonderland on top of a mountain chain)

  • The easiest way is probably if you’re a software engineer or have some kind of bachelor’s /master’s / doctorate’s degree. In that case you can head over right now and start looking for a job. You can stay for 3 months without a visa. Meanwhile you search for jobs related to your field. There are English speaking jobs here in software engineering.

Or You could always spend those 3 months dating women and look for a spouse.

These two are the cheapest options, but if you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, you can also upgrade it to doctor’s degree at a japanese university. If your grades were decent (they don’t have to be excellent), you can apply for scholarships. You also have student loans. university is much cheaper than the ones in the US and should be fairly easy to pay off.

The most expensive way is probably language school, but those are also cheaper than US universities.

  • By southern do you mean Kyushu and shikoku? I haven’t been to Shikoku but it does look like a Paradise from when Degawa and other celebrities went there on TV.

Kyushu is also pretty tropical, but more populated, and has more tourist attractions, thus more tourists.

Both are beautiful. I haven’t been all over, but Shikoku looks more tropical than Kyushu.

Unfortunately they also are where most of the summer typhoons wreck havoc, landslides destroy the most property and bury the most people. Most of japan besides Kanto, Hokkaido and touhoku are pretty tropical so for example if you move to areas around Kanazawa you can get most of the Paradise with less natural disasters. If it is just for a visit, however, Kyushu is amazing. Kumamoto, Beppu, Fukuoka are beautiful in their own unique ways.
