Real issue is the playing field needs to be levelled. Overturn Citizens United will be a great start and limiting campaign donations to be only limited individual contributions and state sponsorship if a party gets over 2.5%. Also stock trading while in office is an obvious conflict of interest. Ideally people in government shouldn’t be allowed to hold stock as that would be a clear conflict of interest. Such as owning stock in Lockheed Martin would be an incentive for going to war.

That’s the beauty of it. You hate stuff but you can automate it away. You have a shortage but with more automation you can scale up 2x or 4x. You have logistic issues but you can use bots and when bots don’t cover it you can use rails.

You can tune the biters and make them spawn less, tech up slower etc.

IIRC you can also use the Rail world mode and turn the settings as if they are Normal mode since any cleared space will not respawn biters.

You can also turn up the resource richness and size so you have to expand less and then every now and then clear out an area. I used to be a bit turned off by the biters but now I’ve leaned into it and have have blueprints for making laser perimeter which kinda automates a lot of the biter handling.

Maybe you just need a mindset shift where the biters are another automation challenge instead of it being an intrusion. I really hope you get to enjoy this game, I can’t anymore since I have a baby now but I hope you can. I’ll for sure start again as soon as time allows.

Also, aim for 100% roboport coverage so you can automatically rebuild everything that gets destroyed. Then you can clear out something, paste a perimeter wall and continue on with factory stuff.

I’d recommend starting by hosting a nextcloud instance.

1. Get a desktop computer, pretty much anything will do but having room to add more HDD is important.
2. Install Linux distro like Ubuntu or something
3. Get a static IP so your IP doesn’t change
4. Setup a router port forwarding rule so that an outside address points to your nextcloud instance.

Then do some optional steps:

• Automatically turn on PC when power comes back on (BIOS setting)
• Startup script that runs nextcloud on startup
• Install docker to manage services like nextcloud
• Add some remote desktop thingy to manage your server from your laptop (ssh is also good but a steeper learning curve)
• Get a NAS for storing data with redundancy.
• Have some other form of backup like your current Google account, cloud provider or one of your mates with a similar setup.

That’s pretty much what you need to start hosting your own files, then later on you can setup a email server, media server like Jellyfin, homepage and everything.

Just go one step at a time and when you hit an issue you can and should ask Google or ChatGPT. Remember, everything exposed to the Internet is vulnerable so take security seriously. Always have everything protected by a decently long password, pairing requirement with your server confirming adding a device or an API key.

Just looked it up and it seems that GPA is a scale that’s linear from 1-4 but everything below 1 is a 0. A is 4, B is 3 and so on.

The conversion from letter grades to percentages can vary though but one example only has a D for 65% which makes B an 83-86% or a GPA of 3.

Failing a class with percentages does count a lot more towards a average than a GPA depending on how hard you fail. Getting a 20% would still be a 0 GPA as well as a 55%. For four classes you could get A, A, A, F and have a GPA of 3 but in percentages you could 100%, 100%, 100% and 0% to get a 75% average.

Needless to say, when taking all the letter grades together they are a weighted average based on the credits given.

Yeah, I might actually play wow since I can reduce the XP scaling by a lot. It goes from 50 mobs at lvl 10 to 600+ to level up at lvl 60. I have a 7mo old no way I have time for that hahaha.

I use SQL for work so I can mod the DB easily to remove the exponential scaling in favor of linear scaling like mob XP scales.
