On the surface for some people, it’s just voting for people who they think are not going to add restrictions on their daily lives, which comes way before ecology or the wellbeing of strangers, when you struggle. It’s the end of the month vs end of the world dilemma that right populism seems to utilize better than left populism.

Because things are getting more worrying on a global scale (economical slow down, ecological crisis and wars) and the usual human reflexes are conservatism and blaming the people who are different. I think progressive ideas rather spread in times of peace and prosperity, or after catastrophic events like WW2.

You can develop those subjects irl too, for example by joining a local non profit that focuses on something that you like. I think it’s the best way to go through this difficult period.

Maybe you can develop new circles without having to cut existing ones, like joining some club or non profit about subjects that you like.

Maybe you could disconnect and focus on your irl circle for a while.

Why do you think another populism is the solution?

It’s also true in many tertiary jobs too, communication of what you made matters at least as much as what you made.

If you can get into a high skill profession like engineering or medicine you should be able to find a job easily in EU.

I think it’s okay to have opinion pieces in media as long as it is labeled as such with “editorial” for example. That’s a part of democracy, not every media needs to be as neutral as Reuters and AFP.

Some high ranked thoughts could be inadvertently leaked to the press, though.

Senators are elected by a college of locally elected people. Those locally elected people were elected, during various kinds of prior local elections, by direct universal suffrage (one adult citizen = one vote).

The title should probably specify “for a presidential election”. France uses an electoral college for its Sénat, it’s made of regional/departmental elected people.

Sounds like a similar argument to how christofascists justify owning military weapons. It’s very disturbing from a European point of view.

That supposes to have a clear idea of what you’re going to code. Otherwise, it’s a lot of time wasted to constantly rewrite both the code and tests as you better understand how you’re going to solve the task while trying. I guess it works for very narrowed tasks rather than opened problems.
