I used to be against Stewart for President. Now? He’s clearly intelligent enough, surrounds himself with the people he needs to research and get things done, puts all his energy into his work, and does it honorably. That’s more than can be said for a lot of candidates.

I took your comment to read “idealist types should like this … but they don’t”. That’s what I replied towards, But on closer reading you didn’t actually say that. Just an implication I assumed.

Can I at least get a reach-around?

I just think we should hold conversations with respect and not strawmen.

Speaking personally, I am happy to see this change. As a longtime supporter of alternative voting systems, I am glad to see the ‘new guard’ agree and take steps toward it. I even trust them to do it honorably [generally]. I love that the new guard is more economic and future focused. Its great that we see some break from the neoliberal norm.

Of course instant gratification would be nice. But I’m not complaining. And -personally- I haven’t seen others complain it’s too slow and booooo im a misanthrope.

I think it’s better to phrase these opinions as questions, not accusations. Like: “3rd party revolutionary types: what do you think of these? Do you like them?”. I guarantee you can’t put us all in a box.

The worst part is, we can generate electricity without giving people black lung. Just a waste.

I’ve read elsewhere that he was spreading misinformation – specifically that is was a MAGA that shot Kirk. which,

1] it is opinion about Trump and MAGA’s reaction, not making a statement about the shooter themself.

2] even if he was, it’s opinion based on what he knew

3] even if it’s wrong, it’s free speech

4] even if it’s a lie (ie he knows its wrong), that’s still constitutionally protected. Fox News even went to the supreme court to protect their right to lie.

And to tinfoilers like me, Trump dying is already part of the plan. But perhaps it’s happening sooner than expected.
