If I understood correctly from my reading of The Communist Manifesto, the proletariat or dictatorship of the proletariat is the transitional stage before true communism takes place.

I’m only going to address [3], which requires some explanation of why I made my last statement. It was a direct response to the pictures shared in the comment I replied to, and I’m well aware that none of those leaders ever passed the proletariat phase.

I think OP is trying to say that he also believed in Marxist ideology when he was twenty years old, but since then he has grown up. I’ve never been a fan of Marxist ideology, although I like it on paper, but we can’t exclude the human factor. It’s far more dangerous to centralize power in the state than in individuals (as in capitalism, where companies are ultimately bound to individuals), and history has proven just that.
That said, I’m not trying to start an argument with you guys here at .ml, because I think we’d just end up going in circles. I just wanted to get this off my chest. I hope you guys can find a country with a Mao or Lenin in power… or you could just move to Cuba, which hasn’t changed since Castro’s rule.
I’m usually against any kind of violence, but your reason is hard to counter point.
dude… You made me laugh out loud next to my wife while we’re watching a boring show… you owe me 20(?)
Honestly, I read this thread and can’t comprehend how a civilization as advanced as the United States of America thinks that defending a binary choice of democracy is a good thing to do… It’s impossible to represent a country with a few million people like that, imagine ~300M. Anyway, keep going at each other’s throats for your party color… smh.
I didn’t know you had a worst educational system that you have. I just knew the individuals.
You’re welcome! And thank you for enlightening me about the education system in the US; I really appreciate it! I wish both of you all the best. Take care as well!
Don’t apologize for something you didn’t do. I haven’t experienced any bad things from North American citizens yet, and I don’t believe your leaders can cause enough damage that we can’t recover from. Just stay strong and focus on improving things for your community, with education and health being the pillars of a strong one. 💪
they can make changes to their curriculum, but if they can’t pass the standardized tests, they risk losing funding (or having the feds come in to run the school). so, most teach largely to the lowest common denominator.
Yup pretty bad. Once again, this explains my reasoning in the OP.
Thank you!
Okay, so does that mean each state can make changes to the curriculum? That doesn’t sound that bad to me… you’re essentially like a continent, and amendments to the curriculum could bring some benefits. But I guess the base standards still apply. The one thing I’d caution against, though, is the downgrading of problem-solving skills.
No, I thought basic education was covered by federal taxes. You’re telling me it’s funded at the county level?? WTF?! Why?
I didn’t know that, and it makes a lot of sense. If true, your input on this aggravates the scenario even more. Thank you for sharing!
Unpopular opinion: The USA reached this state due to a lack of affordable, quality education.
I’m open to contradiction.

My thoughts exactly! After that it was like a domino effect… I realized that probably everything this guy ever said and done was pure BS. Fake it until you make it.
