that’d just be, like, mundane irl polyamory. Except I assume they wouldn’t need as big of a bed.

From what I can remember from the lore, changelings have different personalities for each of their ‘faces’, and thus person A face A would be in a relationship with person B face B, and would not be attracted to person B face C or any other identities
that being said, partners whose love for each other trancends identity would be a really sweet story
when the DM says you can’t use point buy for your stats

26·1 year agoI mean props to the DM for saying the current queen is ruling properly. They could’ve just been like “oh this queen just thinks she can rule as well as a man. she’s actually hot headed and you note that public executions rise during a certain time of the the month”
yeah if my group did this for me I’d involuntary detonate from the attention

4·1 year agolook it’s just called Thunder God but really that’s just code for “a lot of bullets”
no clue how you managed to condense all that into one paragraph. Degree in political science?
I don’t think anyone’s going to tell you not to roleplay in dnd. I’m just wondering why you aren’t role-playing a character that wants to play with the characters your friends have made
one time my buddy was running a game of Monster of the Week and I came up with the most mundane character possible: a Wisconsin corn farmer named Pete Faber, competing with angels, demons, and the miscellaneous supernatural
A couple weeks ago, I had a (dnd 5e) barbarian who was supposed to wrestle some random fire shaman using a series of contested athletics checks. I had advantage due to raging, the Bless spell, and bardic inspiration, (and Powerful Build but that’s only thematically appropriate) and still failed three contests in a row, because the fire shaman never rolled under an 18. My DM just said, no flavor, “yeah this guy just beat you”.
ironically, the damage die for being poked by a d4 is way higher
I’d watch it. The fandom for a dnd podcast like that would be rabid, I think

3·2 years agoIf you’re playing Paladin, Sorcerer, or Bard, you’re already leveling the most important stat for warlock, charisma.
Hexblade Warlocks also also get the ability to use their CHA bonus to swing their weapons so there’s no need to put points in any physical stats

as far as I know they were nerfed for the 5th edition. It’s still a huge sack of health but AFAIK you can stay out of range by just flying over its head. Lore-wise, it’s a walking natural disaster that destroys anything that enters its maw, even magical artifacts.
“Great I’ll put it in the bag of holding. How much is it worth? I rolled a 20, you have to tell me”
