  • I truly think that a good amount of these people could be personally executed by Trump shooting them in the chest, and while Trump says “I know what you are and I hate you” they would lay there dying and say “Oh it’s okay, I know you didn’t mean that. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I still support what you’re doing overall.” or possibly even “I guess I do deserve to die if you say so”.

Now I will say the majority of even the maga team is not this nuts. But some definitely are. Many humans have unfortunately had the privilege to never interact with the kind of person who will truly never change their mind. I’ve known one or two, and it’s a really mind-expanding experience, almost like you’re meeting an extraterrestrial. It’s hard for people who haven’t seen them to believe 👽 lol

  • This is a good example of why I don’t think Vance will be able to supplant Trump. Trump is a master troll, he does a way better job of baiting people to keep engaging with him. You have to be the right kind of frustrating. Vance is just irksome, but not in a way that baits you or makes you wish you could try your hand at debating with him. Trump manages to make it so enticing to keep talking to him. He makes it feel like you might be able to get a good own in on him if you just try. But Vance is such a tryhard and just reads as this annoying little fly that you can just swat away

  • Yeah basically I think the closer to 50% renewal the better. That sends a nice message of " it was worth it to go back on the decision, but we also need to not do more things like this". This is generally the good strategy for forgiveness in between individual humans too. Forgive 50% right off the bat. If you forgive 0% then there’s no point in them changing their behavior, if you forgive 100%, there’s also no point in them changing their behavior, because they can just do whatever they want and then collect 100% forgiveness afterwards. So you gave around 50% depending on the severity of the wrongdoing, and then incrementally build that back up with continued good behavior.

  • “Carr appeared yesterday on the radio show hosted by Scott Jennings, who describes himself as “the last man standing athwart the liberal mob.””

One of the biggest things that pisses me off about the current, and really long-standing conservative narrative, is how they try to market themselves as the underdogs. Oh poor me, I’m the one strong soldier against the evil hordes of liberals!! Like, bro. You’re the chair of the FCC. You’re shutting down shows with no resistance. You’re all getting everything you want, You’ve been getting everything you want all year long. That’s not an underdog type situation. It’s so deranged to be the literal people in power and yet still talk endlessly like this. Last man standing?! What about the literal majority of the country that voted for Trump?

  • Yeah, it’s unfortunate that people can’t just grasp the simple degree of nuance like:

Things were always bad but now they are even worse.

It’s like as soon as you say that things were always bad. People’s brains are like “Bad is bad so it was bad then and it’s bad now so it’s the same”

I do agree with the idea of this meme itself though. This meme isn’t really saying that things aren’t worse, it’s just saying that some demographics were ignorant of the country’s failings for others, and now they’re not because the country is failing everyone. It’s throwing a bit of an insult from the angle of “You don’t really care or notice if things are bad until they happen to you”, which is fair, but most importantly does not deny that things are worse.

  • Yeah, thank you. The problem with Hillary and Kamala is nobody liked them. Now sure you can argue " maybe people didn’t like them because they’re women and they have a bias against women". I never heard anybody online saying " wow! I would sure love to have Kamala as president but I just don’t think other people will vote for her". I see lots of people saying that about AOC. At some point you have to look around and be like oh wait…lots of people are saying they’d vote for her.
