I don’t trust Schumer and the Dems on any of this so if they want to build trust they need to speak out now and start by calling for Schumer to step down.

In the end it is about messaging. Always was but now more than ever with social media most people are voting on vibes. In New York they used it masterfully, laser focused on simple economic messaging without getting lost in the weeds. Kamala did the opposite, confused voters with wishy-washy messaging. People wanted change and she offered more Biden, if she had any kind of coherent message.

I don’t think people understand the amount of coercion inherent in any religion, even the more mundane ones, unless they were in it and got out. I grew up in a liberal brand of Lutheranism I like to refer to as beer-drinking Christianity because it’s so harmless seeming. And yet looking back it was rife with the kinds of things experts would absolutely label brainwashing tactics. Of course under the guise of fun activities like church camps and such but that makes it all the more dangerous.

Absolutely agreed. This shutdown was inevitable and a savvy messenger would have been preparing the public for it for months already. Every day reminding the public that MAGA doesn’t have a plan and only wants power to enrich themselves and their corrupt billionaire regime. Instead they seem to have an absolutely moronic view that ‘actions speak louder than words’ which was never true, and even less true in today’s media environment. Meanwhile MAGA understands and is running laps around them with messaging. Schumer and Jeffries need to step aside NOW and get someone who knows how to communicate in charge.
