Well they showed what they claimed was a picture of him, but how do we know:

• it was actually from yesterday
• it wasn’t photoshopped or AI generated
• it was actually of him rather than a body double?

This is why we need him to be live in front of thousands of people multiple times per day for several hours at a time - that’s the only way we can ensure he’s actually still alive!

Oh there are plenty of incredibly racist Anglophone South Africans - no denying that. It’s just that there’s nothing he could do to make the Afrikaner Nationalists welcome him because he’s not an Afrikaner by blood.

As a generalisation, the racist white South Africans also tend to have an English/Afrikaans tribalism that provokes tension, while the non-racist ones also tend not to give a damn about that tribalism either.
