But let’s ignore that for a bit. The problem with the USA’s democracy is that they use a FPTP system. Which means there are basically only two parties, voting for 3rd parties is throwing your vote away because they don’t stand a chance. USAeans are basically forced to vote for the democrats, because the alternative is much worse. And voting for 3rd parties would be kinda like not voting at all.

The USA really needs an overhaul of its voting system, ranked choice voting is a lot better than fptp.
