The short answer is the game wasn’t balanced around it.
I feel like Rogues (sneak attack) and Wizards (spell sculpting) in particular could abuse this heavily. Also any class that gets their subclass at level 1 or 2.

What does “legally required” here mean? I assume there’s supposed to be a punishment?

So we’re bragging about shitty prison conditions?
I guess cruelty truly is the point.

Honestly I’m just sad we already had a program like this. I didn’t read the NYT article but ones from NPR and AP, didn’t go into much detail about the existing one.
Idk, maybe if the money went to approved charities or cancer research foundations? Instead of a business for jobs, which isn’t inherently bad, but easily exploitable. I’m guessing this new system will be worse and have fewer restrictions.

And if the kids take it home to those at risk?

That’s fair, you’re right. I was pulling my comment from memory of him fighting against de-regulation of corporations, which I consider to be an anti-capitalist stance. But I shouldn’t have conflated the two.

Saying that Bernie is garbage because he didn’t dismantle the two party system seems a bit extreme. He actually has joined third parties but they didn’t take off. He’s also definitely anti-capitalist.
I’m with you, she can’t possibly take any form of public transport. Not because she’s somehow better than the rest of us, but for security if nothing else.
And honestly, I can’t imagine how much she would disrupt a public airport or train station. No way I would want to be in that place at the same time, it would be chaos.
I forget that the original was also terribly sad, but my brain only processes it as a meme now.

Unfortunately they’re by far the cheapest in the US at least. Alternatives I’ve found are like 3x the price for vinyl.
Did you watch the show? The guy was a huge problem player. At a minimum, he didn’t want to play D&D the same as the rest of the group.
