What’s going on right now is actually a fantastic example of why this whole “people can have guns to overthrow a tyrant!” has been nothing more than a delusion used to justify having a gun fetish. It’s 2025. Your gun will do absolutely nothing against the literal trillion dollars of annual spending you’ve approved for your own military and intelligence agencies.

I’ve seen it simply say “Oh, sorry, let’s try something else” and start rewriting everything - from top to bottom - trying to fit previous code in it’s limited context window so it ends up generating this abhorrent mix of code segments that do nothing but look important, fragments of the original code base, and a lot of new code that doesn’t even fix the issue in the first place.
