Today’s ruling is likely to be appealed by Griffin, first to the state court of appeals, and then ultimately to the state Supreme Court, which dismissed an earlier petition from the GOP candidate as premature.
Shit’s exhausting. Not that we should let ourselves actually get numb or exhausted from it, but you really have to admire their lack of scruples and complete dearth of any moral character.
You people need to die for progress to happen.
…
Please. Just stop. You’re hurting everyone.
Isn’t the debt ceiling limit about to snap again?
Unfortunately you’re probably right. Anything even remotely connected to politics has gotten so cult-like that “nuh uh” has become a valid defense for most.
It truly doesn’t matter. As mentioned elsewhere, the Supreme Court will play whatever Calvinball rules are needed to make it happen, logic be damned. The fact that “corporations are people” and “presidential immunity is a complete defense for provable crimes” are said with legitimacy is proof that any faith you hold in the rule of law is null and void.
Yeah wtf is happening? Is Biden just trying to get every bad decision out of his system before leaving office?
I know these numbers are on the “small end” of the scale, so holy shit. Half a year of their salary and I would be so comfortably set for life, wtf are these rich fucks doing with all that cash?
Hell, even half a month of their salary is life-changing amounts of money for most.
Yeah, I was about to say, I can you know, not choose between dying or a life of debt?
Yup, the fact that the court cases against him for things that have been fully confirmed by the law to be factual and grounded in reality are just going away because the president can’t be touched more or less confirms it.
The law can be fully broken whenever there’s enough nationalist energy going against it. And the US has voted to fully give in to the high of that nationalism.
Nah. Shut the actual fuck up. Everyone very clearly laid out the exact outcomes of these choices, you just felt the desire to be self-righteous instead of doing literally anything beneficial for anyone besides yourself.
To make it clear I’m not mincing words: this is your fault.
At the very least own it instead of whining like a kicked dog.
Agreed, it’s absurd that such an obvious bot or shared account has gotten a free pass this long. If there’s a legitimate desire for discussion on these articles, someone else can easily post them, but this account in particular reeks of pushing a narrative in spite of the community’s desire for sincere discussion.
That’s so transparently the bare minimum separation needed to make sure they can’t be sued for blatantly buying votes. Fucking heinous anti-American tactics.
Same thing happened to me in Pennsylvania. Will be watching very carefully on the ballot status emails to make sure it’s still accepted.
“False narrative”
Lies. Just say lies.
Whatever happens, I hope she keeps Lina Khan for FTC, that’s the appointment I care the most about.

I mean, kinda easily proven wrong by how much people love and rally around Harris. It was Clinton’s condescending attitude and dearth of actual effort that soured people on her. It felt like she didn’t care about the country at all, and just wanted to sit in the big seat.
Contrast to Harris, who expresses, you know, actual care and understanding for what people are going through, and suggests concrete plans even for the little things.
I am. Eat shit.
