I don’t know why she’s upset. Trump has lied and taken every possible side on just about every issue. He has absolutely no consistency or credibility and everyone knows that, even if they may lie to themselves about it.

Whatever Trump does is what you signed up for if you didn’t vote for Harris.

You think nine months before an election is enough time to change a massive establishment like the DNC? Presidential campaigns take years of planning before candidates even announce their running.

You think a small percentage of voters in a few states whose only message is “Don’t vote for Biden” is the kind of action we need to “change the game”? If this is the kind of action lemmy progressives expect to take and make meaningful strides towards progress it’s absolutely no surprise nothing actually gets done. Maybe do something useful besides spreading fasicts voter suppression talking points and maybe start now instead of February 2028.

Unfortunately progressives are a very small percentage of the electorate and have proven time and time again they aren’t going to show up to vote. In fact progressives so rarely show up that they’ve effectively removed themselves as members of the electorate.

What percentage of the American population are progressive? Please provide a reliable source for your information. And please don’t provide something nebulous and without meaning like “75% of Americans support random progressive policy”. Those polls show aggrement with a policy, not a desire to change current policy.

My family is trying to sort out which European country to move too and it seems like so many of them are electing some sort of Trump.

For me Europe is still a better option than the US for two primary reasons.

First, most countries are so far ahead of America in terms of social progress even if a PM/president/whatever leader takes a country back 30 years it’ll still be way ahead of the US.

Second, most European countries have a much better voting system that will make it easier to oust the Trumpian leader and fix the stuff they messed up in the future.
