This isn’t as off the rails as the title and start of the article suggests.

53·1 year agoThen I would edit it to “he claims he’s Mexican”.
My initial pass at it was racism and I would like to assume that wasn’t your intent and didn’t want it to detract from the rest of your discussion points.

102·1 year agoI would advise editing the first part a bit. You start off with “he’s <demographic>” - like that clears something up.

2·1 year agoJust rambling - don’t have a direct answer or workflow to offer.
Set up n8n and an MCP server to schedule things - and then have it manage opening issues. (Probably via an API hook.)
For issue tracking I just stumbled across the following https://vikunja.io/features/ but don’t have any direct experience with it.
n8n could also just be a cron script.
Not sure I want to check how far behind I am. How rough are these upgrades? I’ve got most things under Terraform and Ansible but am still procrastinating under the fear of losing a weekend regiggling things.

21·2 years agoWas very confused why this was being asked. Was not aware there was a mechanism to send a shutdown signal. Thanks.
If I were trying to point a non tech user into setting up a local lab I would probably advise them to get a machine with Proxmox running and then use images from https://www.turnkeylinux.org/ and start off with https://www.turnkeylinux.org/mediaserver as a new instance.
