you don’t want the worst people in the world to have a nuclear weapon
And yet here we are
you don’t want the worst people in the world to have a nuclear weapon
And yet here we are
No mockery needed, it’s still very valid

That got me when Trump said he wondered why Biden never cancelled Musk’s contracts. Like, my guy… I know you have dementia or whatever, but you do know you gave the man the keys to the US government like five minutes ago, right?

That’s what I’d heard. Talk at the time was that the shooter’s vantage point was unguarded because the roof had a slight slope and no one wanted to deal with it.

I was convinced of that from the start. The language he used, I’m pretty sure he’s under the impression that the country you levy a tariff against is the one that pays it. Basically “make Mexico pay for the wall” part 2.

That sounds like a login portal to a service that lets you buy Viagra.

Right, the Nazis were socialist in the same way North Korea is democratic.

But doctor, I am Pagliacci!

But it’s specifically essential liberty for temporary security. We’re not talking about, say, giving up shooting rifles in the air for the safety of the surrounding area, we’re talking giving up, for example, basic privacy in return for making sure kids don’t accidentally see a tiddie.

And here in the US, we’ve got two of them!
Yeah, that’s Trump in a nutshell. He’d be hilarious if things weren’t so serious.
I’ve heard (never actually seen the apprentice myself, and I haven’t followed up, so take it with a big grain of salt) that the show was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Like Trump was such a fantastically bad business man, it was meant to be a joke. But unfortunately, most people are apparently blind to satire, and all it takes is acting like you know what you’re doing to convince them you do.
The amount of copuim in that thread is unreal. One lady literally saying it’s cool because God uses the same abusive language.

It’s not human trafficking, it’s human shipping.
Are you suggesting they drive… a hybrid?!

I’d take that as a confession to being complicit whenever we get to the US equivalent of the Nuremberg trials.

Elon Musk just threw up a sieg heil and the crowd cheered. I am entirely out of hope. I’m glad some people can find solace in hoping for a better tomorrow, but I am not one of those people.
“A joke with real-world consequences” sums Trump up nicely, I’d say.
Best we can do is some stern disapproving looks. If you get enough support, though, we can form a committee to look into the issue, determine that it is indeed a genuine problem, and then decide not to do anything about it.
