Everyone can down vote me into oblivion, but addiction in all its forms should not have a stigma attached. I lived most of my life not realizing that I had a problem. I’m very thankful that I did eventually realize I did.

I’m not defending this guy in the least, but as a recovering alcoholic, this was hard to watch. You never know when you’re going to hit your rock bottom, but if this wasn’t it for him, I don’t know what it would be. Getting pulled over with your kids is awful.

I’ve been sober for years, but you always have to keep your guard up for triggers, and have an emotional support group that is willing to support you. I know his occupation, as well as that of the cops that pulled him over, is controversial, but I just hope he is able to pull through this. His kids deserve better.

Oh how brave of him to stand up now when he has no skin in the game. Bravo brave sir. I hope you sleep well at night on your pile of Netflix money.
