I knew lots of kids who wanted to be teachers. Ask a kid that age to list their favorite people and their teacher will pop up often, because it’s someone they know. Teaching is something tangible to them.
I also knew several adults who wanted to be a teacher, but quit shortly after starting because they literally couldn’t afford it due to unreasonably low wages. We should really treat good teachers better.
It’s weird that this never applies in reverse. It’s always “Democrats need to be more accommodating.”
I have family with problematic views, but I wouldn’t call them friends.
Teen me: “Hell yeah! Yell loudly! Throw yourself around! Love this energy!”
Adult me: “Damn, he is actually furious for legitimate reasons, and I couldn’t agree more.”
One time in a group I wanted out of because of a problem player, he tried to steal a critical piece of gear from my character while I was sleeping. Before I could say anything he started with a “What, it’s what my character would do!” I told him “Well MY character would kill anyone caught stealing from him with his very large axe, so good luck!” Weirdly he didn’t think that was as funny.
Both are example of stubborn group members who need to be flexible and work well with others.
Stuff like this is why games usually end by the 6th session.

My big complaint with Jellyfin is that their documentation showed a “fast forward” hotkey that convinced me to switch from Plex, and when I started it up it was a misnamed “jump forward five seconds” button instead.
It’s still better for my needs, but I remain angry.
I heard someone say once that the worst possible thing he could do for approval ratings with his base is go on TV and actually, earnestly apologize for something he did wrong and show true empathy. Like tears in his eyes “I am so sorry” acknowledgement of a wrong.
Democrats would love a representative with human emotion, but it would be an instant career killer for the GOP.
