The learning curve might be a little high in some regards, but you may want to try NixOS. There are quite a few services ready to enable and customize for self-hosting, and the design makes updating packages fairly simple.

To be clear, NixOS is not a “simple” solution, but it does work well for self hosting.

I can’t help but disagree. The US is not the only supplier of weapons, and we are rapidly losing allies. Zelensky probably galvanized his citizens by continuing to exhibit strong but humble leadership, which matters a lot in war.

I think Ukraine does have a reasonably strong position for negotiating. Trump could lose out on a sweetheart deal and Zelensky could partner with other countries instead. The talk of WWII is bullshit. If Trump really cared about a world war, he would stop trying to annex other countries.

I can’t speak for others, but I learned a few years ago that the immigration process is difficult and expensive. Trump made this significantly worse during his first term.

We wouldn’t have so much illegal immigration if the barriers weren’t so high.

I would also like to believe we have some amount of self-determination in America, but 47 and Elmo are making sure that’s not the case.

Start from scratch on the logic. What is the ENTIRE framework we’re using to select candidates, as a population? When compared against other frameworks, how do we evaluate which framework is ideal, based on its long-term consequences for a society? If you have not already thoroughly answered this question for yourself, you are not qualified for this discussion in the first place.
