  • They’ve been entirely fine stoking (or actively ignoring the stoking) of political violence against the left, brown people, non-Christians, LGBT+, the poor, the physically and mentally handicapped, the homeless, immigrants, scientists, teachers, librarians, and public servants. And when the violence even looks like it’s turning their way their way, they don’t stand up and fight back, they slink off hoping it’ll pass them by while they make way for ever more extremists to take their place.

I hope all these opportunistic cowards follow Robespierre, overtaken and eaten by the things they promoted.

  • Justice Amy Coney Barrett called this scenario ‘a mess’, warning that the government could face an administrative crisis of unprecedented scale. Trade lawyers say the impact could be overwhelming. Many of President Trump’s tariffs changed multiple times, and shipments often contained goods subject to different rates. The result is years of tangled customs data.

Despite the fact that it’s going to be a shitshow to clean the royal fucking mess you’ve made, you still have to clean up your royal fucking mess.

  • I don’t think they’re going after Charlie, I think they’re going after his wife. And I think it’s because they don’t want her stepping into Charlie’s shoes and becoming a competing influence in a crowded world (though honestly I don’t think she has much of a chance because she’s a woman and maga is entirely too male-centric). But she’s just starting to try to pull together a power base, and suddenly, miraculously, she’s accused of being trans. If she doesn’t fight the rumors, they’ll get more outrageous and if she does fight then, she loses momentum. I’m not sure who’s pulling this, but if I had to place a bet, I’d guess Fuentes.

  • The fact that the Democrats want to keep the filibuster to keep progressives in check just makes their cave-in even worse.

Also, by acknowledging that this was the reason for their submission, it makes it first what we suspected: despite his denials, this move was orchestrated by Schumer, and the “defectors” were specifically chosen because they were either retiring or not up for re-election for so long that other “good deeds” for the manufactured to give them cover when they are up for re-election.

At this point, I’m only staying with the Democrats so I can pull them as far to the left in the primaries, after that they’re on their own.
