Cool, now remember that works for you and we’re not all the same. Work, for me, induces depression. I’m most happy in life when I have nothing to do and have to find creative ways to fill my time. Never once have I derived meaning from work, not once.

The scary thing is the markets don’t appear to be reflecting the economy of us plebs. Things aren’t great for anyone I know or talk with, but the markets don’t tell that story. I just wonder how bad things get if/when this AI bubble pops.

You’re not wrong and he may not be a Groyper exactly, but I still believe he’s adjacent. I don’t believe that having a Trans partner excludes him either. We’ll have to wait and see. His politics may not be as black and white as any of us thought. Being raised in an ultra Christian, probably ultra conservative household and community, fucks people up. Repression, shame, and guilt are powerful tools religion wields as a cudgel.

I grew up in a similar situation, albeit not as strict a Christian or as conservative a community, but damn close. I’ve seen first hand how folks like these can fuck a kid up beyond repair. The jury is still out, but I still believe he’s a right-winger.
