I think this is exactly what Trump and his administration want, they want us to escalate to violence so they can step theirs up even more or even declare martial law and then we’re really screwed.

Yeah, that makes sense now that I think about it. I used to think it would make them more sympathetic and empathetic towards people other than their selves, but that’s clearly not the case for everyone.

Well, I guess there goes the old theory of giving people in control psychedelics and MDMA and having it turn them around and become more empathetic.

Also, I’ve heard the bladder issues excessive ketamine causes is incredibly painful and I would normally have some sympathy for someone with the condition, but I really find it lacking when it’s concerning someone who has caused so much chaos and harm.

I’m kind of surprised that Trump hasn’t been jealous of the attention on Biden and claim he, himself, has cancer and that some have said it’s the most beautiful cancer they’ve ever seen, cancer like no one has ever seen before.

I believe rioting right now would just give Trump more ammunition to push more extreme policies even faster and right now I think the left is trying to delay until midterms or until Trump does something so egregious that Congress can’t deny impeachment any longer. I would really love to say that going out and rioting would fix the problem, but I think at the stage we’re at right now it would only be met with a more militarized force against us and a lack of any center/center-right leaning people having any sympathy to the cause and we really need some of the more purple states to step up

But yes, please do boycott US made products as it seems the only way anyone is listening is by negatively effecting profits of corporations. But do know that there are states that are successfully fighting back against Trump and it seems that there is momentum in resistance building.

From my understanding he’s a big proponent of the simulation theory, so he’s probably cool with being a shit person because it’s all a simulation anyways. I’d wager that he sees himself as a player in a video game and he’s going for high scores.

Exactly what I was thinking of. Their misunderstanding of something like the different data types and epocs for time values is crazy.

Any time I get a weird date/time value the first thing I check is what the epoc and smallest unit of time is as it’s far more likely I’ve done some bad math than something that old actually being valid.

I would have been surprised if they weren’t using COBOL especially when it comes to the Treasury.

A lot of them don’t even seem to have any IT/software muscle. I keep reading that they basically have zero experience with a lot of the languages (COBOL), databases, or software that is used in the government. So these people get into the servers and start digging around in code and data that they don’t even have a fundamental understanding of and are essentially making shit up about their findings.

I’m really on the fence with this one, she’s not a politician but it is still a pretty public position in the government. I do, however, think that we need to some how figure out how to dissuade people from making death threats, they have become far too normalized at this point, but I suppose with 300 million people in this country you’re going to have a large number of the population (even if it’s a small percentage) that take things to the extreme and I don’t know how you fix that. Like, how do you teach empathy to people who clearly don’t have any?

I get it, this is one major reason why I’m not interested in getting into politics myself, but I think if you’re willing to take on this role in government then you should be willing to stand up for it. Pretty easy of me to say sitting behind this screen though.
