  • First of all, I am not “the progressives”, I am not taking credit for anything, quit thinking like “us vs them”. Second of all, what you described is what dems are doing right now, saying that anybody who criticized their inaction is the cause for their inaction. I am merely stating that those who changed the world are those that acted radically, not moderately.

This simple fact, it seems, makes your butt burn

  • The progressive did everything good the democrats did not. Idk even know your definition of “progressives” but the suffraggettes were progressive, the civil rights movement was progressive, black lives matter was progressive. All the democrats did was coopt every single one of those movements and wash them down, and roll the red carpet for fascists like trump. Moderatism is what opens the road to fascism. Quit licking the boot of the milquetoast idiots who should have protected democracy

  • Your point is based on an idealistic and wishful “uncorruot government”. You cannot have an uncorrupt government. What’s needed is a different form of political decision making, one where the common folk participates in the political questions, not just some answers, where accountability is protected and a priority.

I don’t know the exact blueprint for this, maybe it is as unattainable as an “uncorrupted government”. What I know is that nobody really tried it yet, while so called “liberal democracy” has proven its failings to all and the fascist have been taking advantage of those failings since the start. The only way yo avoid this is to change our questions, not to all agree on the answers

  • That’s just not how the world works, or has ever worked. It’s just a disarming thought thinking nonviolence will save the planet when clearly the powers that be have never had any intention to listen to nonviolent efforts. Killing people may not be necessary, but the threat of violence undoubtedly is. If you cannot show you are able to defend yourself, there will always be a power ready to exploit that lack of defense.

Nonviolence only works when your opponent has humanity. Capital and the state do not, and never had any humanity in their ideological framework. This cannot be solved if you avoid shows of force, a war cannot be won with nice thoughts and prayers. A war is fought, and we haven’t been fighting in a long time.

It’s a depressing thought, and it shouldn’t be like this. But so it is, and the only way we save this world might be if we taint our own hands, this revulsion from violence will be our death otherwise

  • Whose responsability is one’s ignorance? A ruthless individualist would place the blame only on the person, ignoring the world wround them and the community or lack thereof.

I think everyone has a duty to be the best they can, and everyone is responsible for themselves, yet it is undeniable to me that we all live, and especially the people from the US, in an information system that aims at eroding the truth and our capabilities to gather it. I also think an important part in how this corruption of information works is by also eroding our empathy for the people who are “dumber” than us. You dehumanize ignorant people. You can deny it, but so many like you repeat this. You will justify yourself, which is understandable, no one wants to be the cause of suffering. And yet.

Dehumanization is the weapon of the enemy, we do not need it, we will not use it. These people won’t magically get smarter if you hate on them, in fact, they will take refuge on those that present themselves as loving teachers, but are actually ruthless abusers.

I guess it’s cathartic to hate those ignorant bums, see where that leads you
