The thing too, is they didn’t lose anything, or… well better said that they were owed anything, they thought they had an opportunity to get something for free. The dems doing the shutdown didn’t lose anythings, just the huge part of the population that support them.(actually everyone)

In other words, “if the Republicans won’t meet our demands then we won’t open the government, and that is their fault!”
