32·1 year agoHelium was interesting, but they locked it down so you can only use their proprietary hardware for access points, it seems kinda scammy.
IPFS is used by several archive projects like Anna’s archive and libgen.
Meshtastic is a distributed local mesh network for text messaging.

5·2 years agoThe only half reasonable argument I’ve seen is that requiring pasteurisation (supposedly) makes it difficult for small dairy farms that want to sell direct to consumer, and forces them to sell to large milk companies for a far lower price. I have no idea how valid that argument is.

7·2 years agoMy non lawyer, and probably wrong, advice is to send them a polite reply asking them to refer to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram (1971)
As a non-american, this seems unsurprising. The Harris campaign seemed to be running the same playbook as the Clinton one did. The main reason anyone gave for voting for her was not being trump, effectively making her the satus quo candidate. If everything is shit for you under the current status quo, that doesn’t encourage you to vote for her.

They support liberalism, not leftism.
They like making a big deal out of their tokenistic support of LGBT/BIPOC/etc, to distract from them trampling over workers rights.
