While I like your joke, I think the reality is worse. Ballroom supposedly not funded by taxpayers but instead being build by “donations.”
Just imagine what’s been promised…

Yep. Many will feel compelled to take a plea because they don’t have the money to hire an attorney, and court-appointed attorneys are so over-loaded with cases they encourage the plea-route too.

They do have a say and impact. They can quit working for a station owned by a fascist supporting organization. When the anchors quit, they’ll have a problem.

Kimmel returning is a joke and goes to show that he is doing this purely for the money.
That’s maybe the reason he was doing the show previously. Now he has an opportunity to prove it’s for more than that. I hope when he comes back tonight he comes back harder and more offensive, doing his best to provoke the administration. Make ABC grow a pair and fight to prove their support of freedom.

Thanks for sharing. Thought no way I’ll watch the whole thing though. I was wrong… it’s great in its entirety.

The tariffs are essentially an unpredictable tax on consumers and companies. Mostly it’ll be the consumers but if companies are effectively bullied into eating some of the tax and reducing their profits, it’s a corporate tax on them. Of course the GOP says it’s completely against new taxes on anyone and especially corporate profits, but that’s what the tariffs are. Being unpredictable and changing due to bullying or political influence - or lack thereof - is much worse for the markets in general.

According to the article she supported Harris and donated $700,000 to her campaign and other PACs trying to get her elected. She’s doing more positive than most billionaires, that’s for sure.
First, this post is about social security disability insurance, SSDI, not social security retirement benefits. The disability fund is paid into by current workers to pay the benefits of currently disabled people, which may or may not have worked previously. Someone born disabled receives benefits as an adult even if they’ve never contributed.
Second, your statement isn’t valid for SS retirement benefits either. Current SS taxes pay the benefits of current SS recipients. The taxes have never been saved to pay for future benefits. The more you pay in the more credits you receive for your future benefits, but nothing is actually saved on your behalf. If benefits are reduced, it’s not your saved money you’re being denied… it’s a promise being denied.
She’s 27 recently married to a 59 year old real estate mogul. It’s true love.

Correct. Trumpers are ok with you having democrat derangment syndrome… that might lead to you storming the capital but that’s totally ok!

Well you aren’t expecting the Republicans to wise up are you?
Yep, we’re fucked.

Utah enters the chat…
I love that they have a belt. Like, you gotta put your belt on even with cut-offs.

A lot of people are lazy and just assuming Trump will lose, won’t vote. Others it’s a challenge because they have to take time off work as voting day is not a holiday in the US. Additionally some polling locations have long lines, something notoriously common in low-income areas. People have been known to wait many hours just to vote and so not surprisingly these areas often have lower turnout due to frustration.

The tariffs only increase US worker wages if they are significant enough to promote domestic manufacturing. If we still can’t produce the widget at home for the same or less expensively, then all we’ve done is create a federal sales tax on Chinese goods.
Similar upbringing and path. It’s felt terrible to learn so many friends and family don’t actually care about policy, democracy or even freedom as much as they want to hate a “liberal” and want their politician to do the same.
