  • I posted this comment just yesterday and it fits perfectly here, so I’m copy pasting it.

How is that an insult? In fact the only thing I would say is incorrect is the word ‘failures’, since I think they (the liberals, be it the Democrats or the equivalent in other countries) haven’t failed at all, quite the opposite, they’ve played their part masterfully to bring us here. And before the liberals around feel attacked, this is not a ‘both sides are the same’ comment. That’s not how controlled opposition works. It’s more ‘both sides work together, even when they do very different things, to achieve the same goals’. Just an example. While Trump’s DoJ is prosecuting people only because they are political opponents, Biden’s didn’t prosecute actual criminals (specially an orange one) because ‘they were political opponents, and it’s a bad look’. They disguise their inaction as civility, when it’s clear as water they’re doing it to further the plans of the people paying them, which is the same privileged class that’s paying the other side. Even this side of the pond, without a ‘first pass the post’ system, with lots of parties, coalitions, and what not, it’s still exactly the same play.

  • Not just politicians and definitely not only Americans. No one spouting the ‘violence is not acceptable’ actually means it. They don’t mean to abolish the police, military, prisons, taxes, mandatory school…

It’s just doublespeak, the violence I like is not violence so if someone responds to it with more violence I can condemn them, they are the violent ones not me.

  • Completely agree. Also, I’m a Spaniard and kind of a ‘screw expert’ and have heard the sentence in the post like twice in my life so not that common of a mnemonic. I usually say something like ‘clockwise because time’s tight’ (‘en el sentido de las agujas del reloj porque el tiempo aprieta’).

So let me get this straight… telling people who are struggling financially and can barely make ends meet ‘No you aren’t! You’re just too stupid and uncultured to understand these numbers!’ doesn’t get you their vote and even can make them vote for the other guy!? Who would have thunk!

  • I definitely blame the democrats. They’re the ones that have put Trump in the White House twice. I’m not talking of ‘letting it happen’, the dnc have actively done everything in their hands to make him president both times.

Edit: If you can’t, or don’t want to see it I’m not gonna try to convince you. This meme over here speaks volumes by itself– the dems not just can’t reach the blue collar workers, who should be their main demographics, they’ve alienated, and even antagonized them to the point that many voted for Trump (I’m not saying this is a sane reaction! But people would grasp to straws). So yeah the ‘insufferable tubs of shit’ are the working people not the billionaire owners of the party.
