1·11 months agoThank you! I have been wanting this and had no clue it already existed!
Now if only it were possible to have a VPN active on wireless Android Auto.
Edit: WG Tunnel is compatible with Android Auto. To enable compatibility, use the app’s split tunneling feature to exclude the Android Auto app from the tunnel.

Another tool, not sure it will fit your needs exactly, called reactive resume. Might be able to use it as a business card.

1·1 year agoAhh yes that’s what I was looking to do.
I was thinking if I already have a key file on the remote and local servers then I may not need shh installed on the docker container to do this setup.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Does anyone know of a Alpine Linux docker image with LFTP, cron, and possible openssh built-in, ready to go?English
2·1 year agoI currently have a alpine linix VM where I had one time SSH’d into the remote server to exchange logon keys.
This means I can run my scripts without username and login credentials I just need to point to a key file instead.
I might be overthinking it like you said.
Though essentially I am trying to build a docker image of this same setup and can see I will need llfp and cron. Just not sure how to handle the key file at this point.
This looks like a mansion haha. I love the energy dashboards you have setup tracking everything from solar to battery power. Very nice!
Very nice and very clean!
That one sexy looking dashboard!
I love the Internet Explorer logo 😂

63·1 year agoPrivatization and then closure, blaming lack of profitability.
National postal service is a public service just like public transportation. It is not meant to be profitable on its own. Ita existence alone is profitable as a service to the community and country.
Public services should not have a necessity to “operate in the green”, these are public funded services with government tax funding.
Edit: Public roads like highways are publicly funded. You don’t see car companies building infrastructure for consumer to have a place to drive their

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Are there solar powered window blinds?English
31·1 year agoSolar glass yes. Solar blinds I don’t know of anything that would be thin and flexible enough to roll and unroll everyday.
There are some think flexable solar panels, but nothing that I seen that you could use as a replacement blind in a roller blind.
Take a look into solar glass, you can retrofit some of these products right onto existing windows on the inside.
The one advantage to sollar glass is you don’t have to keep your blinds down all the time especially if you want to enjoy a sunny day.

Edit: Seems I misunderstood the assignment.
Motorized Solar powered blinds where you don’t have access to power.

17·1 year agoTariffs = Taxs
A tax that is paid by ultimately the consumers of a product.
This “tax” is collected by the local government from local importers. Importers pass the costs of this tax on to local consumers. Other countries do not pay the “hard costs”.
Its apart of a Watercooling setup

1·1 year agoNo worries, also just to let you know. I have a TrueNAS and a unraid server.
The TrueNAS server has a Unraid samba share mounted. Within TrueNAS you setup a pull task where it copies files from your remote system to keep the directory in sync. Any changes on my unraid samba share are backed up to my TrueNAS share on a predetermined schedule.
You might want to look into the pull task on your TrueNAS which will be a lot easier then trying to push files from your OpenMediavault.
