I mean, it’s not the first time part of the white house has been torn down or renovated. What I personally dislike about this isn’t that they’re changing the white house. It’s that they’re changing the white house to accomodate Trumps constant need to be the center of attention.

It’d be silly to keep the white house as built (Or reconstructed) in 1817, since it’s actually being used, and is very much a workplace, but this renovation is just Trump needing somewhere in-house to host lavish dinner parties to be the center of attention.
