I reached out to a DNC backed group thats supposed to work on getting progressives into local offices so that we can start working our way up.
On my very first call with the state organizer with the DNC they asked me how much money i make currently and when i answered they told me it wasn’t enough to actually run. Then they asked me if i had a wealthy family i could borrow from or a wealthy church. I said i was Buddhist and they got excited aaying Buddhists are usually good for high donation amounts so i should get them to connect with the group.

I asked about me running and what we could do to help my chances and without hesitation they said, i should just donate what little i had to them and back one of their better candidates when they let me know when they have found someone.
They went on to brag that they have a 30% win rate.
