I do a lot of photography and I share it on my Pixelfed.

It’s exclusively SFW.

  • Facts and sometimes I’ll give them advantage or disadvantage based on the lead up and the back ground I have established for the character.

No lead up, the barmaid’s been through some shit recently? disadvantage my friend.

Chatting before hand, the party are frequent flyers to the bar, the barmaid is single, AND the barmaid is looking for a relationship? Advantage bud, you earned it.

  • Did that and when the monk was engulfed in the cloud of poison taking no damage he felt like quite the badass going for a flurry of blows with advantage (I told him with advantage because the dragon wasn’t expecting him to be unfazed and he kept himself concealed in the cloud on his approach).

That’s also when the rest of the party found out the monk was immune to poison.

    10/10 would do that again

  • Straight facts

Though my party hasn’t done some as intimately evil as your play did, they’ve definitely committed some crimes against humanity at this point.

Selling WMDs to a crime lord, giving goblin Hitler (they never asked his political aspirations) access to a weapons manufacturing plant on par with WW1 tech, etc, etc.

  • Last night?

A mixture of shitposts and inspirational videos in the group chat

    Last session?

They lit a vinyard/distillery on fire to deal with the undead thriving within. They forgot to secure their path to exit before starting the fire. They barely made it out the gate before the storage tanks blew up. And by “barely made it out” I mean the Barbarian got caught by the blast.

He slammed the basement door closed to prevent the blast from hitting the survivors they they found and rescued. The shock wave knocked everyone prone, except the Barbarian who was launched while still holding the door.

So everyone was fine, the Barbarian even had a hit point left… Until he landed.

One of the party members is also infected with Blue Rot though, he hasn’t figure it out yet.

  • I’m a forever DM so I’ve got so many unused character ideas that turn into either NPCs or if a player is like “I forgot to make a backstory”

But with the amount of improv I do as a DM it’s very little effort for me.

Though I agree it should be discussed as part of session 0. As it’d be rude not to.

Session 0 for my groups is always the same really, we sit around boucing ideas off of each other for characters, things we don’t want to be touched on during the campaign, and what kind of campaign we want.

  • Seriously this opens up so much creativity for the DM.

“This person seems familiar to you, but you’re not sure why.”

“You think you’ve been here before, but you’re not sure when.”

“Being on a ship feels like home, but you have no memories of ever being on a ship.”

“Upon seeing the ruins of the village you find yourself overcome with sorrow, you feel like you’ve lost something important but you don’t know what.”

Part of the adventure can be a quest to reunite them with their lost memories.

  • I’ve gotten close eto this kind of situation a couple times with my current group

They’ve gotten into the habit of talking first now which has gone pretty well for them so far

We’ve shifted more away from wargaming to roleplaying in our DnD games which is really nice, and way harder like OMG
