FYI to anyone who forgot: Trump actually did this to families last time he was president and US Americans still reelected him. He should have been thrown in a prison cell for this. Things like this are why I will never forgive a 2024 Trump voter.

Has anyone been verifying that these kinds of posts lately are real? Certainly some trump voters are already having buyer’s remorse, but these posts can just as easily be made up by people who want to play off our emotions and manufacturing further outrage and division. Just saying.

Precisely. People have had 8+ years of Trump showing and telling everyone exactly who is and what he will do. Anyone who voted for him knew – or should have known – who and what they were voting for. You’d have to be willfully ignorant not to know who Trump and MAGA are by now.

I know of no valid excuses this time. Ignorance is not an excuse. People knew trump is a monster when they voted for him; they don’t care. But many have so little understanding of how badly a second Trump admin will hurt everyone and everything. The “now concerned” trump voters just wanted change, but they voted for fascism.

That your statement seems disingenuous in this context because only a vote for Trump helps him win. No one’s vote is owed to any candidate. If people want to vote for a third party that better represents their values (or no candidate - even though I disagree with this position), they should be allowed to do so without active or passive false blame being slung at them that they are somehow enabling the very genocide that they are against.

Anyone who is against Israel’s genocide is not voting for Trump.

I applaud you for voting, and for being willing to admit in the Politics Community that you voted third party. Unfortunately this place is so convinced that certain votes are owed to their party that they’ll actually downvote you for saying that you voted for the candidate that best represents your interests.
