I don’t watch TYT, so I can’t go into too many specifics. But from what I do know, Cenk and Ana have both been buying into the crime scare bullshit, and agree with Republicans on immigration. Ana has also been saying stuff that is anti-trans. Cenk and Ana are no longer at all leftists. Maybe funding dried up and they are trying to pander to a different audience?

Anyone who uses the word “tankie” as a pejorative is a dumbass and needs to touch grass. Same goes for people who defend people’s use of the word “tankie”.

The term tankie is used to vilify leftists and sow division amongst leftists. It is also used by chronically online liberals to describe anyone who is left of center.

When I say “other things” I am referring to her far right immigration policy, very pro-police and pro-military rhetoric, and her overall lack of policy that would improve people lives (for example, expanding Medicaid). All she ever talked about was subsidies for first-time homebuyers and small business owners. Both are terrible policy to be campaigning on for obvious reasons.

Running on the same platform as Biden was a terrible idea, and running on “I’m not Trump” was only ever gonna work once. When it comes to losing Democratic voters, I don’t think being black or a woman had anything to do with it.

Agreed. Harris lost by more than 7 million votes. Leftists were critical of Kamala because she is pro-Israel, among other things. These “other things” are the reasons most people who abstained from voting didn’t vote for her.

If Dems wanted to win then they should have had better messaging and policy. Kamala lost because her platform didn’t appeal to most Americans. She never talked about anything that would improve people’s material conditions, and instead tried to appeal to “fallen Republicans”.

Harris didn’t lose this election because of Gaza. She lost it because she ran a dogshit campaign. Democrats had nothing to be excited for so they didn’t bother voting. People aren’t as motivated to vote when they are merely doing lesser evil voting.

I agree that it’s a bad take. But at this point I think that they’re desperate, trying anything they can to get Kamala to change course. It’s an urgent issue that can be solved easily: just stop supplying weapons and aid to Israel. Four years from now, most Palestinians living in Palestine will already be dead.

It seems like they’re using multiple strategies in an effort to put pressure on the Dems. Some are saying that they are going to vote for Trump even though they are also anti-Trump. Their logic is that Kamala is actively contributing to a genocide, whereas Trump is not.

I doubt there is anything they can do to actually make Democrat politicians feel pressure, but I do agree with their sentiments. I’m not voting for some who is pro-genocide. Trump is both pro-genocide and fascist. I’m also not going to vote for a 3rd party candidate because most 3rd parties focus on the presidential race more than they focus on grassroots efforts.
