Thank you for teaching me media literacy.

politics @lemmy.world•World on the Brink Under Biden’s ‘Leadership’.English
317·2 years agoThis is a bad faith argument.
Here is the first paragraph from the article:
President Joe Biden has called America “the world power,” and has referred to his “leadership in the world.” If Biden does indeed see himself as a, or the, world leader, then he has been disappointing in his job and has mismanaged it.

618·2 years agoSaying that she support Gaza and will support them is an easy answer?
Be honest here, she choose the easy safe answer:
“Let me be clear, I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself and I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself,” she said tonight. She said that Israelis should “never again” go through the horror and “unspeakable” attacks of Oct. 7.
“At the same time what has happened in Gaza in the past 10 months is devastating. So many innocent lives lost. The scale of suffering is heartbreaking,” she said.
She gave the easy answer: support for Israel; thoughts and prayers for Palestine.

948·2 years agoI think he is playing a smart move that Harris couldn’t sadly do.
A lot of early signs was there for Harris to give some care about Gaza war and to show support but she choose to be silent and this is the result.

171·2 years agoThe lesson here : Don’t treat yourself as a consumer, treat yourself as a human.
Merchandise was never a way to support your favorite party. donating directly to your party is more beneficial for the cause.
