You know there were plenty of American Nazis in Einstein’s time, right?

You also know that musk is not, has never been, universally lauded as anything but a raging narcissist.
Seems like wishful thinking or at least gaslighting.
In fact, quite unlike Einstein, everybody who was an engineer or whatever and worked with him all hated his guts and have been saying this entire time that he’s 1) stupid and 2) awful.
I dont see how conflicts with what I’m saying.
The only people saying that Musk was anything but stupid were either his PR team, or the dupes that bought their hype.
PR teams and dupes have been destroying the country with their backwards thinking.
Its like a contrast as to what people value and consider smart these days.

Einstein:
-Wildy popular in his time
-Lauded as the most brilliant minds of the 20th century
-Fled to america as a result of a fascist take over
-Made ground breaking contributions in his field of expertise
-Relatively apolitical figure
-Possessed no dillusions of grandeur
Musk:
-Wildly popular
-Lauded as one of the most brilliant people alive
-Raised in apathied Africa and migrated to America to pursue his financial goals
-Has contributed very little personally in his field of expertise
-Extremely poltical
-A relentless douche bag on social media
He looks like a baked turd

No, capitalism always wins and works.
Democracy in america was tenuous at best. We did use it for some good over the years but it hasn’t been the bulwark we need to protect our rights like we had been sold. Democracy works when people believe in democracy. We stopped believing.
Good luck to you in your cause. I hope you continue to articulate what it is you believe in a kind way, it will go a lot further, I believe.
The commentary is more about the idea of america. Usually death isn’t perceived as a bill getting signed or a person getting elected, its the consequences of of those things. So maybe you joined the military and witnessed war crimes. For that person, someone you assume has some sort of patriotism, they might switch from believing in their country to not believing in it.
For me, being very young when the towers fell, I started to understand how hopeless and fucked we are as a people.

Sorry, couldn’t think of anything. Straight people are just like a lot of things.
Kinda hinted toward it in another post but its more about my own personal perspective. At a young age my life was mostly devoid of politics and america seemed like an ok place. Since the attack on the twin towers, for me personally, america has only gotten worse. To me, 911 marks the end of america, as an idea.
Would need a source that it will be purchased.
This is more of a political commentary on that fact that when I was politically activated, preteen, its been nothing but down hill.
Is that really apt though? By your own admission eistein wasn’t universally lauded as a genius.
I didnt mean to offend you by making the comparison. I honestly just want to evoke the very responses that you gave. MUSK is no Einstein and for the people who treat him as such because he is “the richest man in the world” should be taken down a notch.
