Literally none of this is based off what voters want.
How would the DNC know to put into elections if they aren’t available during the primary?? Do they operate off of vibes and random phone polls?

-says man who has no idea what he’s doing
He can put sunglasses on for memes and shit. His sole purpose should just be pointing at current egg prices with no words spoken.

I mean, next tallest building in the world is at least a tangible object lol. FSD is 1s and 0s that they say work given very narrow parameters and weather. But yeah, completely agree

Fair, but I do think it is deeper. His current ties to the administration have some current implications, but even prior to that, the amount he received with govt contracts and his habit of over-promising and under-delivering make me skeptical that the upwards trajectory can largely be blamed on retail investors. His cult of personality certainly is a portion of it, but I don’t think it would just be that.
I’m also just a stupid person bitching on the internet, though, so give me thoughts whatever weight you’d prefer lmao.

We’re saying the same thing, just one more eloquently than the other (you than me lol).

There are (were) agencies already doing this; I work in one. However, we’re funded through Dept of Education, and you know where admin sits on that issue.
OK, sure, maybe employment services shouldn’t be under DoE. Maybe DHHR. Oh, they want to gut that too? It’s almost like they’re doing shit just to say they are doing shit. Or, they’re going to cut everything to “rebuild” it how they see fit. Don’t have to work within legal frameworks if those frameworks are burned completely to the ground…

There is some kind of shady deal going on, I bet. 0 reason why Tesla is worth more than like the next 12 biggest auto makers combined. The argument previously is that they’re a tech company with FSD, but that has become increasingly untrue as the years, missed targets, failed upgrades, and lack of implementation continue to pile up. Add-on Cyber Truck failures and Musk basically abandoning Tesla to play Govt Undertaker, and the company itself looks worse positioned than at any point in time.
Hard to say country is fine when these are the results of the election.
None of it is serious, all in jest. I gotta really pour it on with people IRL cause I live in a conservative/religious area.
The guy who shits on himself, who’s wife openly hates him, and who Putin treats like a personal puppet? It’s so frustratingly ridiculous what people assume of this dude. Guy thinks they had planes in the Civil War, and people will say he’s the smartest person in The Hill. GUY BANKRUPTED A CASINO. PROFITS ARE BUILT INTO THE MODEL.
I don’t get how anyone could look at the state of the US and go “yes, this is what I want my country to strive to become”.
I’ve been calling people going on T “gender affirming care”. Your body naturally slows down as it ages; going against nature is an affront to God and serves only to push the narrative that you aren’t getting older, despite the inevitable still occurring. If you want to take hormones to change your body, you can go to a socialist country like France or Canada.
The knots in the brain are visible from miles away, it’s great.

In the same breath, they refer to him as a kid making a mistake, to appeal to us. We’ve all been in somewhat similar situations, making mistakes as kids. And then seconds later, he’s a highly trained professional who is well-equipped to manage poring through Treasury docs and deciding where funding is sent or ceased.
What is he? Is he a kid or is he an adult? Be consistent. Fuck everything about this.

Not to mention, Trump is a peacetime president. He’s ending the Ukraine War and the Israel Palestine War day 1 week 1 whenever convenient committing US troops to Gaza to commandeer the land and redevlop it as a US territory, while also threatening to take over the Panama Canal, Greenland, and to annex Canada, and requesting Zelensky allow Putin to ravage Ukrainian land and likely install puppet govt while prosecuting any Ukrainian loyalists as the Russians see fit.
You know. Peaceful things.

It isn’t about database functionality, it’s about information sharing across jurisdictions and state lines. There isn’t a national police force, different precincts use different methods. States have highway patrol, local PD, sheriff’s, etc. It isn’t just saying “look for plate NY-A447 338” and every camera across the nation checks for it. Additionally, not every Dept and precinct is going to have resources to throw at catching a random Dr because Louisiana is pissy about stuff. There also would, presumably, be some planned lack of cooperation across some states and potentially intra-state departments. Different places prioritize different crimes to chase. New York obviously won’t be extraditing him, and I imagine similarly for other Northeast states surround NY, as well as “blue” city precincts.
I’m sure the Dr is questioning traveling and stuff; but that’s wasn’t what I was trying to discuss; it was merely the concept of a national surveillance system monitoring one individual on behalf of a single state (or group of randomly spaced states) throwing resources after a political win, and the necessary cooperation across dozens and dozens of different state and local departments, in pursuit of this one individual.

I don’t think the practice of it would be hard, it’s more the passing of information between depts. Open investigations get botched with info transfer, and people skate by with open warrants for “worse” charges than prescribing a medication some states don’t like. I don’t think the shortcoming is in the ability to do it, moreso the will. I do concede that maybe I’m underestimating the amount of red-faced cops who would love to be the arresting officer, but I’d hope they could find better uses of their time than this. I do continue to be surprised at things though, so maybe you’re right.

The fun part of that becomes, how will they know? Constant license plate tracking through cameras and subsequent information sharing across state PDs to catch, what in reality, is a political crime, and only illegal for brownie points with the electorate, or will they rely on more pointed surveillance waiting for the opportunity?
Also, I know license plates already get tracked, but I don’t think an Dr prescribing a legal medication in their state would warrant flagged traveling across a multitude of states just for the chance to make a political arrest. Not that it’s beyond them or I don’t think they would to make a point, but it would admittedly be more absurd than expected.
I’ve said this until I was blue in the face. The closure of NIOSH in Morgantown, the place that arguably led the charge for discovering black lung’s cause and combatting it, and continually working on particulate science, was the absolute biggest slap in the face to this state that could have happened. The biggest ally miners had in the the twilights of their careers is gone, and in it’s place, you get a “good job, bro” and kicked out the door by the mine barons. Any shot you have at recompense dies when they declare bankruptcy with yet another shell company; the holding ponds they’re responsible for? Not their problem. The recovery costs of the natural environment? State’s cost now. Yet all those profits go right into ol’ Jimothy Justice’s pockets. Probably amped as fuck that he gets to continue his racket, and ALSO vote on the policies that regulate the industry. How fun that is!
Fucks sake.
