It truly is disgusting. I always take a full week to sit down and carefully research everyone and everything I’m voting for. I sit down for a few hours each night with my ballot and do a couple sections until it’s done. But unfortunately, most people are not as diligent as I am nor do they care about local politics. I don’t even consider myself to be a political person, but at least I do my civic duty. That seems to be lost in the American people.

CPS has a very hard headed teachers union that people often complain about. But in times like this, it’s exactly what’s needed. I can’t imagine the for profit “Disney II” charter school up the street to have the same approach 🙄
