I’m hoping the whole administration is a situation of Hanlon’s Razor, but that might also just be me huffing copium.

I mean sure both parties are going to serve the Almighty shareholder by finding reasons to avoid wealth taxes, upholding capitalism where the strongest survive (except for corporations that lobby well and need bailed out of course), and using their positions in the government to personally profit. But at least one party is going to recognize that trans people are humans, make an effort to oversee environmental or workers rights, or even admit that human beings deserve to eat in the process.

I’ve had similar thoughts. Maybe not a rotation, but a compulsory period of service following high school that where people can select from a variety of public service assignments.

I’m not inherently opposed to the Senate as a concept, I think it can serve as an important check/balance, but for it to exist while the house has been capped and stripped of its offsetting powers is completely asinine. I also think that attempting to get anything done in the house with 1,000 members may also be unproductive however. Perhaps capping the house to a reasonable number of representatives while also adjusting voting power to proportionally match the most current census could work. Some representatives may cast 1.3 votes while others may cast .7 votes.

While I agree that at its heart it’s a red vs blue issue, I’ve seen more than enough explicitly sexist commentary from Trump supporters, most commonly suggesting that Kamala has attained her status via sexual favors rather than years of public service.

Not to say that the social programs are flourishing or anything, but it’s worth noting that the tales of people eating dogs and cats in Springfield have been debunked and are unfounded rumors being perpetuated by Trump/Vance on a national stage.
