Holy shit, that’s awful lmao. The only real thing from that entire pamphlet is that there’s no real difference between L and R in Japanese (Think of ramen for example. It was a borrowed/translated word from Chinese: lo mein.) But I guess that’s why it’s propaganda in the first place.

Yeah, I honestly think it’s really interesting! More specifically, Seuss was in the Signal Corps to make propaganda like this alongside other artists you might know such as Stan Lee! Lee even made propaganda/survival comics for troops since a lot of them couldn’t be bothered to read manuals for a lot of their equipment lol.

I think it’s generally a culture thing; you don’t eat your beasts of burden (oxen, horses, etc) and you don’t eat your animaux de compagnie. Not just because they’re useful and you would more than likely have a connection to them, but generally speaking, these are very lean animals, barely any fat on them, plus the fact that unless you know what you’re doing and make the slaughtering of your animal quick and painless, endocrines get released into the muscle tissue, making the meat bitter.

Not having Jury Duty is like, the least important thing when it comes to voting. Usually they pay you for your time, and hell, sometimes you show up and they either strike you from the pool or don’t have cases left for the day, and send you home soon after you arrive. I had jury duty earlier this year, got taken out of the jury pool, and I still got paid for my time.

It’s because language changes gradually over time. Most people who aren’t English Majors or have a Linguistics degree don’t even know what a Thorn is, and I don’t even blame them. (Also the fact that no Middle English characters are on my keyboard, closest I have to a dead symbol is ‽)

I mean, you can vote and still get paid; I don’t live in a swing state but I got a whopping $0.17 for my efforts! It’s moreso about getting a voting plan together.
