  • Of course not, but the Qur’an only talks about killing in the background of a just war (and even then it says it’s better to capture them and then release them if possible, in a time where Rome just came around and raped, murdered and pillaged without even the need for narratives, lol), makes no mention of old men marrying children (???) nor beating your wife! You’re confusing the culture around the Qur’an made by horny and power hungry men (nothing new there, lol). Jesus never talked about pretty much everything done in his name for about 2000 years by Rome, the church and Western powers, yet his message remains true regardless, right?

  • Belief just means standing for something. I believe in generosity, self control, avoidance of violence, the proper treatment of women and children, etc etc. I’ll stand behind it regardless of what you say. The Qur’an also advocates this, and people agree with it so they “believe” in what’s written. Only believing in the Creator Himself and everything that happens after death requires any sort of “effort”, and even the former I would say is self evident!

  • What would be the problem? They tend to be too brown? Nobody who spouts an overall negative opinion of Islam has ever read the Qur’an, and probably goes around talking ignorant nonsense in general. But 1) the West dislikes personal responsibility, so actually living in accordance with one’s beliefs (that God exists and He will judge us all for our actions, so you better act right) is seen as extreme 2) the American war machine plus attack dogs have been pushing dehumanising and islamophobic narratives (going mega hard for about 3 decades at least but it has been in the Western European cultural background since at least the Crusades/Roman invasion of Judea) so they can better sell their murder and pillaging of the Middle East to those committing the atrocities and their loved ones at home. 🤷

  • The exaggerated narratives forming around Mamdani on both sides, mixed with the ease this “troublemaker outsider” entered the political structure makes me think, once again, this is nothing but smoke and nothing will fundamentally change in NYC nor America as a whole. If anything, it just further encourages people to entrench themselves in bipartisanship when we all know both sides are corrupt criminals who only give lip service to their respective demographics. 🤷
