I’m trying to be very careful not to hit the “call to violence” violation that’s all over the Internet, in case it applies here. I have no idea if it does. But I feel you.

If this happened pre-2016, someone high up would be fired. Now, no one is being held accountable.

We have to hold them accountable for these things. Vote out the Republican congressmen that won’t impeach Trump.

That’s exactly what happened to Rush Limbaugh. He’s no longer relevant to the current conversation and while not forgotten, he can’t spread his continued message anymore.

It’s amazing this was never fixed. In Korematsu v United States, a Japanese-American citizen didn’t report to Manzanar concentration camp and was imprisoned. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that it was legal to imprison citizens for national security reasons. That case still stands. And a similar executive order could be issued to do the same at any time, and Congress would be the only thing stopping it.

The order was based on the Alien Enemies and Sedition act of 1798, which was also already involved by Trump on this term.

I would love to be wrong, but I feel like more camps are in our future. CECOT is just the beginning.

I wish there was more. Nothing I’ve done seems very effective. Being in Oklahoma, that’s how I’ve felt my whole life. Anyone I vote for loses. Any time I protest, it happens anyway. Any time I volunteer, it’s too small.

My friends and I have recently started a small support group to share survival skills, gardening, canning, and basic marksmanship to recently threatened, marginalized, and like minded people but that doesn’t fix the overall problem. I’ve taught a lot, learned a lot, but I just don’t see it getting better.

I feel powerless, and I guess that’s the intent.

It also depends on what access they have. Easiest would be to axe subsidies to oil companies, but no way they’re be able to just do something like that. There’s too much protection around that money.

Of course, if they’re doing exactly as DOGE, they suck and I’m glad they’re blocked because DOGE has made terrible decisions.

We need actual action. Ideally from elected officials pushing back, public figures, and every citizen refusing to be sucked into the MAGA cult and their objectives.

As someone who does IT audits for banks in Puerto for FDIC audits, this is scary. The banks will embezzle, but they’ll also get hacked so we won’t know where the money went.

This makes me think twice about having a bank account at all.

They kind of have to, I suspect. But it won’t work. And they’ll vote Republican again.

We seem to accept genocide quite readily if there’s profit behind it. If there’s not, we’ll just ignore it.
