Didn’t give anything to trump. You’re either assuming Harris was entitled to something she never received, or do you actually think Dementia Don convinced a lot of voters to cross the spectrum?

It’d be nice to also see some midterm primary challenges to incumbent neolibs.

It’s less-lethal, not nonlethal. Even blanks can be deadly. A gun should only be pointed at something you’re willing to destroy.
Cops are not held to as high of standards as everyone else. This should not come as a great revelation.

If you go through a defensive carry class you’d almost certainly be discouraged from doing that by the instructor for multiple reasons:
First is that all ammo can be lethal, even blanks. So if you’re not willing to kill to protect your own life, that may cause it anyway. On the flip side, a prosecutor will argue that if lethal ammunition wasn’t required, then use of a gun wasn’t necessary and you’ve not only broken firearm discharge laws (in place where most people live), but are also guilty of assault with a weapon with intent to kill or maim.
Firing a gun in self-defense is only warranted if nonlethal means are insufficient. If you try using less-lethal ammo and it doesn’t stop your attacker, you’re killed or seriously injured. If you try using less-lethal ammo and it does stop your attacker, you’re still screwed by the legal system (possibly except under some “stand your ground” laws).

Because you shouldn’t use a gun unless deadly force is warranted.

Agreed. I’ve made a day trip to the neighboring state to buy a used car from a CL listing, but I probably wouldn’t travel to the other side of the country for it.
Similarly, for many things I wouldn’t travel more than an hour to get them.
The distance radius really needs to be adjustable per search to be useful outside of densely populated areas.

It seems like on CL the city labels are mostly for human readable convenience and behind the scenes it’s by distance. You can set a distance from any point:

One thing I would find valuable is mechanisms to dissuade the listings with obviously false prices. So many things on CL that aren’t really free or $1.

My use of eBay is closer to my use of Craigslist instead of being like an auction. I don’t like to wait for the long bidding windows used online. I also don’t like haggling on prices. In this case, people post what they’re selling, and if I decide to buy it a third party payment platform is used to transfer funds.
The differences are that CL is usually items I pick up personally instead of being shipped (but not always), and some CL sellers only accept cash. I have also picked up eBay purchases locally.

That saying too often gets used as an excuse to not even try moving away from patronizing a harmful business, as though it isn’t worth any inconvenience since we’re screwed no matter what.

Thank you for the difficult public service you do.
Even more strawman arguments. Read back through the comments - I never said anything about fire extinguishers, and am not defending anyone who is lax on safety.
Most enthusiasts are very serious about safety but know that the implementation details are situational.
Accidents are also very rare. If we want to try to reduce the small percentage who don’t take safety seriously, we should start early and make a safety course part of everyone’s schooling.
Is English not your first language? ‘Their’ in that context refers to the person you were replying to: SupraMario.
And as far as Midwesterners and more specifically my political beliefs; while we Minnesotans have a proud tradition of independence, we’re not all Jesse Ventura. Our most popular party is the DFL, which is somewhat distinct from the national Democrat party, and we’ve supported (D) presidential candidates more than any other state. I’m more in the camp of ‘If you go far enough left you get the guns back’. Every gun club I’ve been a member of has had strong membership support of safe handling and storage, but what that looks like differs based on multiple factors such as whether there are children in the household. Not drinking before or during shooting is often in the club’s bylaws.
Really? You shouldn’t have to put in much effort to realize that not every adult has children or has family with children.
The strawman is that you assume children would ever be in their home. If the guns are behind locked doors away from children, they’re secured.
In most of the US, there is no legal requirement of registering a weapon to a person. I think you’re confusing that with the Wisconsin law restricting the unsupervised use of dangerous weapons by those under 18.

Are you suggesting they didn’t know Signal wasn’t an approved platform for sensitive government communication and willfully used it anyway?

That’s literally the defining feature of asymmetric cryptography. There are many explanations of how it works which you can easily find. One example is the Wikipedia article: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public-key_cryptography
If you educate yourself and are still confused, you should probably just accept the fact that even though you can’t understand the specifics, information encoded with the public key cannot be decoded with the same public key.

In my opinion the most relevant commonality is the hypocrisy of all the involved parties. Hillary had sent out a notice to the entire State Department saying to only use official communication platforms, and then did the opposite as if she thinks she’s above the rules.
Then these Republicans who condemned the actions also used a non-official platform.
They didn’t give anything. Complete absence of things. Null. Zero. It’s especially deranged to think they possessed an entire country to give. It’s literally impossible to give what you don’t have, and claiming otherwise is serious mental gymnastics.
BTW I didn’t vote for him and my state has sent its electoral votes to Dems from current day contiguously back longer than any other state. So assuming who I support is another ignorant statement.
