“we havent tried anything and we’re all out of ideas” :p
2·1 year agoi havent had the chance to try stoat yet because most of my friends refuse to leave discord, but i heard of Stoat (used to he called Revolt, but i think there was a trademark conflict) a while back and have wanted to try it out.
RATM was really good when i was growing up; i really enjoyed the music, and it felt like it made me a rebellious kid.
now that i am an adult, those old songs hit pretty hard; i love their music because its true.
though these secret rolls remove the comedy behind the kronk stealth theme music (emporer’s new groove) upon critical failure, it does help with metagaming.
i can remember dressing up as Hans & Franz (an old SNL skit) with one of my good friends long ago. it was a great costume idea because it was sweatpants + swearshirt with pillows for insulation 👍
10·1 year agoi am unfamilar with “sore loser” laws. what kinds of things does this entail?
gotta make sure you have unborn children that can grow up to be dead soldiers.
i am not one to defend the GOP, and am glad they are doing an investigation to make sure, but doesnt that look like a bad photoshop to anyonre else? like… the little white squares pasted in there?

running a jellyfin server on something like this may not be pleasant, so it depends on what you are trying to do with this machine.
for most things, yeah - it will be fine; however, if you are planning to do live transcoding, running an llm, or other compute-heavy tasks, the box will need to be upgraded.
i know it seems like a minor thing, but dear news: please refer to those with no party preference as such. we are not all voting for the independent party.

edit: also acceptable is “Other” or “Third Party” for those aligned with a party that isnt D/R
my parents bought a house in 1988 for $125k.
over the years, they took out 3 HELOC’s on it.
they are currently paying off ~$125k.
the house is worth ~$1.6M.

i started in january of this year because i upgraded my wife’s computer. that gave me an old computer to tinker with.
i recommend getting an old computer, installing an OS (look up thinks like truenas, proxmox, unraid… there are more and they are different; try them all out if you want to see what you like)
then go onto youtube and search for things like “<OS> beginner” and you will get a bunch of tips/tricks/tutorials/etc. for starting out with your favorite.
