1·1 year agoThat’s not going to happen, republican voters will support their candidates opposing the opposition.

1·1 year agoThis was the only leverage dems had for this congressional budget year. They gave it up for a vote on a single concession, which will be voted against.

1·1 year agoThe vote will probably happen, it will simply fail.
Weird how the republicans never use this logic to add dem policy, but democrats always use this logic to duplicate republican policy and messaging, and then eat shit in elections because betraying your base to do what the opposition wants is the best way to decrease turnout.

1·1 year agoSomething something white moderate.
Liberals, whether dem or republican, believe capitalism is good and just. So when something happens they don’t like, they must find someone who was doing capitalism wrong to explain it. This is where their underlying racism and xenophobia pour out.
Only in anime.

Perhaps what we also really need are movies from the perspective of the freedom fighters, but forget depicting them in a sympathetic light; depict them like Rambo, kicking butt and taking dogtags/names, and the troops in a similar depiction as the Persians in 300.
There’s quite a few chinese movies that depict the korean war that way.

It would help if you got more specific; name the policy in question.
Most recent complaint about purity tests and circular firing squads I’ve seen was over the purity test of not being a warcriminal with a totemkomf tattood on your chest. Before that it was trying to silence anyone trying to stop the dems from choosing wildly unpopular policy, that ultimately got Trump elected.

2·1 year agoThere is not a meaningful number of potential dem voters who will stop voting dem because the billionaires, the politicians they bought, and brown shirts were treated unfairly. The are a lot more who will vote when they see the government enacting their interests.
A lot of Obama staffers were West Wing fans. They were shocked when voters didn’t reward them for following rules, trying to compromise, and giving republicans half the discretionary budget in the name of of civility.

4·1 year agoDistasteful shit like what? Funding ICE? Bombing a dozen countries in the middle east? Cutting social security?
Or did you mean things that are distasteful to people who would never vote democrat, but wildly popular among potential democrat voters like prosecuting Trump and as many republicans as possible, sending the FCC after rightwing media, ordering the military to provide healthcare to women, cutting all aid to Israel, etc.
